In 2015, TSGAC voiced strong support for expanding Medicare-Like Rates beyond hospital-based providers and noted that the IHS Proposed Rule is a good step towards achieving that goal. However, as drafted, the Proposed Rule does not provide the flexibility that is necessary to ensure continued access to care for American Indians and Alaska Natives through the Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) programs.
