The Department of Treasury published the final rule implementing the Coronavirus Tribal, State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program under the American Rescue Plan. The final rule is the result of extensive governmental engagement, including with Tribal governments, and will enhance the capacity of recipients to meet immediate pandemic response needs and promote longer-term recovery.

The State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program provides Tribal governments across the country with the resources needed to:

• Fight the pandemic and support families and businesses struggling with its public health and economic impacts,
• Maintain vital public services, even amid declines in revenue resulting from the crisis, and
• Build a strong, resilient, and equitable recovery by making investments that support long-term growth and opportunity
